So today was the day that the King of New York was murdered in the city of L.A. He was shot down about 6-7 months after his rival TuPac Shakur was murdered. At this time in Hip Hop things were crazy. It was one of the best times with the music but the violence was ridiculous and we saw how the music actually influenced the people and thus there were many fights over whether or not you were an East Coast or West Coast representer. I remember this day the year was 1997 and it seemed surreal as I sit in my friend Brandi's room watching the words go across the bottom of the screen while we watched MTV. It was unbelievable. Biggie left this earth way before his time but he left a legend behind him and so much good music for us to remember him by.
