New Artist Highlight!!! Freddie Gibbs

Well now If you know me you know that I give credit when credit is due and in this case credit is more than due. This artist highlight is on the homie Freddie Gibbs. For those that may not have heard of him before trust that before this year is out you would have heard everything that you need to know about Gangsta Gibbs. Hailing straight from G.I, better known as Gansta Island or Gary Indiana. Freddie has been doing his thing getting the word out about who he is and where he is from. There have always been hot artists that have come out of the Midwest but none of them have been able to carry the whole Midwest on their back and bring the spotlight back to where the music of soul in the 50's and 60's originated. There are a few out of this region with talent alone that will be able to do that, but it looks like Freddie's got first! Okay soooo Im sitting chilling doing what I do and I thought that for this edition of old school jam session we would do Bad Boy Artists. I know this is a trip but I just watched "Notorious" for the first time the other night. Oh boi.....This video is something serious. I don't know about ya'll but I pay attention especially to images. This video is very dark, and there is no Kanye. Pretty much if you are just looking at the video all you see is a girl running to the song. If you REALLY look at the video like I did you will see a lot more going on. *hint* Notice the flames in the mist as the girl approaches the end of the cliff. Rumor has it that she was the bomb back in those days and they were hating because she was caught worshipping in the temple of Athena or something like that.
