Well now If you know me you know that I give credit when credit is due and in this case credit is more than due. This artist highlight is on the homie Freddie Gibbs. For those that may not have heard of him before trust that before this year is out you would have heard everything that you need to know about Gangsta Gibbs. Hailing straight from G.I, better known as Gansta Island or Gary Indiana. Freddie has been doing his thing getting the word out about who he is and where he is from. There have always been hot artists that have come out of the Midwest but none of them have been able to carry the whole Midwest on their back and bring the spotlight back to where the music of soul in the 50's and 60's originated. There are a few out of this region with talent alone that will be able to do that, but it looks like Freddie's got first!
